Bernie & Phyl’s Co-Sponsors Child Car Seat Safety Check

Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture recently co-sponsored a child car seat safety check at its Braintree store. Over 60 families had their car seats checked and correctly reinstalled by the state police. Nine seats had to be replaced because they were too old or in bad condition. According to the state police, 98 percent of all the child safety seats they inspect are installed incorrectly. The event was co-sponsored by WCVB-TV/Channel 5, the Mass State Police Traffic Program Section, Babies ‘R’ Us, and the New England Toyota Dealers Association.
