In a effort to support cross cultivating of cultures and mutual learning experiences, Aspen Furniture employees from the aspenhome™ China headquarters recently completed a major team building initiative. “The June weekend trip to Yangshuo Guilin in the Guangxi Providence and Changping Donggaun was based on the American Outward Bound team building method to help impart the same aspenhome corporate team spirit, values and culture that are part of the Phoenix home office corporate environment,” said Johana Fina, director of human resources for Furniture Values International, the parent company of aspenhome and Aspen Furniture. “Chinese citizens working for American companies in Mainland China have only recently had the opportunity to work within an American corporate environment. Team building techniques and interoffice communication skills benefit the entire company as we learn to appreciate each others culture and work together,” Fina continued. aspenhome opened their Southern China based operation almost seven years ago and have built the Chinese operations to include logistics, operations, warehousing, product development and quality control departments. Over 75 full-time employees are now based in Southern China.
