Mattress Firm Appoints Director of Media

Mattress Firm, one of the nation’s leading specialty mattress retailers, announced that Christine Scott-Gensch has joined the company’s Marketing Organization as Director of Media. In this role, Scott-Gensch will be responsible for developing and directing media planning and buying for all Mattress Firm markets. She will direct the strategies and spearhead relationships with media agencies, newspapers and any other form of media utilized by the company. “Christine’s media experience with agencies and national retailers over the course of her career will strengthen the foundation of our current infrastructure,” said Executive Vice President of Marketing Bill Dandy. “She is one of several valuable additions we’ve made to the senior level of our marketing team to support our rapid growth and brand development initiatives.” Scott-Gensch brings more than a decade of media buying and planning experience to this role. Most recently she served as Associate Media Director for TracyLocke, where she directed media for Pepsi bottling group. Scott-Gensch’s experience also includes service at Fogarty Klein Monroe, where she served in various capacities at both their Houston and Dallas offices, including Associate Media Director. Her 10 years of experience is complemented with national retail experience at Michael’s Arts & Crafts. Scott-Gensch holds a BBA from Southern Methodist University, with a double major in marketing and organizational behavior and business policy.
