Henredon To Open "Henredon Brand" Store

Henredon announces plans to open a retail home furnishings store in the Perimeter Mall area of Atlanta in August.
The new 15,000 square foot showroom will feature extensive Henredon collections, plus selections from Ralph Lauren Home, Lauren, and Barbara Barry Realized by Henredon, with whom Henredon has licensing agreements. Another 2,000 square feet will be dedicated to offices and receiving areas.
“As a Henredon brand store, we are creating a total luxury experience,” explains David Walker, Henredon director of trade showrooms. “When consumers walk through our doors, we want them to respond to our product with all their senses. We want their visit to be a total immersion into the Henredon lifestyle.”
To that end, the Henredon Store will emphasize customer service in every area—from the initial greeter to the sales associate to the office personnel to the final delivery persons. The criteria for every decision will be “does this contribute to a luxury experience,” says Walker.
All furniture collections will be displayed in fully accessorized room settings. A design center will house an array of Henredon fabrics, sales tools, and an assortment of other samples to aid the sales staff. The store will also offer accessories, rugs, draperies, and bed and window treatments. Around 12 professional sales associates with design experience will be on hand to assist customers.
“The range of merchandise and services available in the store will raise selecting furniture and designing the interiors of a home to a whole new level,” concludes Walker.
The store is the latest addition to Henredon’s international network of distribution, which includes trade showrooms, better department stores, and independently owned retail stores and galleries. According to Walker, the store’s prototype design plans, signage, and additional specifications may be adapted later to other locales as the dedicated store program develops.
