Retailers, designers, manufacturers and industry professionals planning to attend the third installment of Las Vegas Market this July are encouraged to plan in advance and register on-line in order to receive their badge before the show. In addition, World Market Center has unveiled a new registration website that makes signing up for July Market easier than before. In particular, there is a new fast-track option called “Quick Reg” created for attendees who have attended a past Market. Giving each buyer a unique Market ID code, the program is designed to accelerate the registration process giving users the ability to quickly verify information on-line and order their badge for July. For new registrants, the process is also more expedient than in the past. “Our attendees are busy professionals and we know how important it is for them to get registered and get into the show from the moment they step foot at our Market. To accelerate the process, we have improved our registration program both on-line and on-site. We feel this system will better address the needs of our guests and ensure the experience is as efficient as possible,” said Briana Mackey, Show Director for World Market Center. In addition to a streamlined registration website, Market officials plan a number of registration improvements for the July Market, including increased points of service and registration counters, increased staffing, earlier on-site registration for exhibitors, and an extended cut-off date for badge mailing. Still, to ensure buyers do not wait in line once they get to Las Vegas Market, organizers encourage early registration. Buyers must register before July 14 in order to get their badge mailed to them, but Mackey acknowledges “sooner is better.” “Registering for Las Vegas Market only takes a few minutes on-line and we strongly encourage this to be done as soon as possible. This prepares us in a number of ways, in terms of mailing more badges earlier and allowing us to plan certain logistics based on the expected attendance of the Market,” Mackey added. New registrants will be asked to furnish their credentials upon registering in order to attend the Market. Mackey says this maintains the integrity of Las Vegas Market as a trade only venue and event. Registration is free to members of the home furnishings and gift industries. When registering, attendees are also encouraged to book their hotel rooms through World Market Center’s on-line hotel block. Attendees have several new hotel selections to choose from this summer, including five new convenient properties in the neighboring downtown area as well as many of the most popular hotel options on the Strip at special rates. Exhibitors and attendees can now go online to book hotel rooms at discounted rates as low as $56 using the real-time reservation system. In order to ensure the best availability, all attendees should book their hotel rooms early. To register and book hotels rooms, visit www.LasVegasMarket.com or call 888-WMC-SHOW (962-7469). Las Vegas Market takes place July 24-28 at World Market Center and Pavilions; the Temporaries will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center and open on July 25. In all the July 2006 Market will be the largest Las Vegas Market yet with more than 2.6 million square feet of permanent and temporary exhibits.
