Excelsior Designs, a contemporary home furnishings manufacturer, added industry veteran Mickey Waldrup to its management team. In the newly created role of National Sales Manager, Waldrup will be responsible for managing the needs of key national accounts as well as developing new retail relationships. He will report to Paul Greenbaum, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Mickey has done an exemplary job of building our business in Florida. Additionally, he brings Excelsior Designs a wealth of experience in working with major furniture retailers throughout the country. We expect his involvement will allow us to take our sales initiatives to the next level,” said Greenbaum. Waldrup’s extensive background in upholstery product development and merchandising dovetails with the company’s recent foray into fully upholstered goods. Last year the company debuted an extensive array of frames and fabrics in the Nicole Miller Collection. The company will use Waldrup’s expertise to enhance its training programs, merchandising, and product design. Waldrup will continue to manage the Florida sales territory in addition to his new responsibilities. With the addition of Waldrup, Greenbaum will now take on additional responsibilities in the areas of strategic planning, sales and customer service operations, and organization. Company President Steven Kayne stated, “Excelsior Designs has experienced record growth over the past 5 years. We will continue to offer our retailers and consumers unparalleled design, craftsmanship, and service.” About Excelsior Designs: This spring, retailers across the country will debut the new Nicole Miller Collection produced exclusively by Excelsior Designs. Their first venture into producing and marketing a licensed collection, it received rave reviews by media and retailers at the October 2005 International Home Furnishings Market. The company also produces Italian-made contemporary and transitional casegoods under the Excelsior Designs brand and upholstery by Casa Novalia® Leather.
