La-Z-Boy Names Bob Ireland VP Of Residential Global Merchandising

La-Z-Boy Residential has appointed Bob Ireland to the newly created position of vice president of residential global merchandising – tables, lamps and accessories (TLA). In this role, Ireland will enhance the existing organizational structure to support current TLA programs, as well as develop strategic initiatives to grow this segment of the La-Z-Boy business. Ireland will report directly to Greg White, vice president of merchandising and sales, in this role. “Tables, lamps and accessories is a rapidly growing, and changing, aspect of our business,” said White. “Bob has the merchandising and sourcing background as well as the business expertise to ensure that we are making the most of every opportunity in this segment.” In his new role, Ireland will oversee two direct reports and have responsibility for all of the TLA merchandising within the rapidly growing La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries® network of stores. Ireland joined La-Z-Boy in 2002, serving most recently as the national sales manager for La-Z-Boy Canada. He brought extensive experience in TLA to the company from his previous role as executive vice president of the Powell Company. While there, Ireland managed an extensive tables, lamps and accessories business. Prior to that, he held various positions with Palliser Furniture, including sales/marketing manager of the import division. Ireland will maintain an office in Monroe, Mich., and in Waterloo, Ontario where he resides with his wife, Tammy, and their son, Michael.
