Top La-Z-Boy Sales Reps Inducted Into Company's Summit Club

La-Z-Boy, a leading manufacturer of upholstered furniture, honored its top sales representatives with membership into the company's Summit Club. Inductees were announced at an awards dinner held Thursday, October 13, at the High Point Country Club in High Point, N.C. Ron Lupton, sales representative for Northern Alberta, was presented with the prestigious La-Z-Boy President's Award for 2005. The award, which is given annually, honors the year's highest-performing sales representative or team. "Each of the inductees into the Summit Club represents the best of what the industry has to offer. They are all smart and hard working, as well as extremely loyal to this company. And, of course, each had outstanding sales performance last year," said Greg White, vice president of sales and merchandising for La-Z-Boy. Lupton has been a sales representative with La-Z-Boy since 1994. This is his first induction to the Summit Club. Twenty-four other sales representatives and associates were inducted into the 2005 Summit Club for outstanding achievement in sales: - Rob Cebula, sales representative for the Fargo, N.D., area. Cebula is a first-time winner. - Grant Foulds and Geoff Leon, sales representatives for the Toronto and Niagara, Ontario areas of Canada. Both are first-time winners. - Gord McClelland, sales representative for the Southern Alberta area of Canada. McClelland is a first-time winner. - Betty Dobbyn, sales representative, and Doug Dobbyn, sales associate, for the Vancouver, British Columbia area in Canada. Both are first-time winners. - Howard Blakey, sales representative for the Harrisburg and Lancaster, Pa., areas. Howard is a seven-time winner. - Paul Daniels, sales representative for the Ottawa and Eastern Ontario areas in Canada. Daniels is a first-time winner. - Doug Lupton, sales representative, for the Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Northern Ontario areas in Canada. Lupton is a first-time winner. - Danny Burbine, sales representative, and Bonnie Crowley, sales associate, for the Maritime provinces in Canada. Burbine is a first-time winner. - Mike Murphy, sales representative for the Miami, Fla., area. Murphy is a second-time winner. - Jimmy Spinks and Scottie Johns, sales representatives for the Atlanta area. Spinks is a four-time winner. - Mike Parkinson, sales representative, and Pam Cioffi and Eric Lauritsen, sales associates, for the Phoenix and Las Vegas areas. Parkinson is a seven-time winner. - Slade Sackman, sales representative for the Ft. Myers, Fla., area. Sackman is a second-time winner. - Deke Ballard, sales representative, and Jason Goldman, sales associate, for the San Francisco area. Ballard is a five-time winner. - Eric Gatton, sales representative for the Charlotte, N.C., area. Gatton is a six-time winner. - Neil McGill, sales representative for British Columbia in Canada. McGill is a first-time winner. - Don Whitmore, sales representative for the Sioux Falls, N.D., area. Whitmore is a fourth-time winner. - Jim Graham, sales representative, for the Dallas and Houston areas. Graham is a second-time winner. Cebula also was honored as the "Rookie of the Year," for outstanding first year performance.
