Kerry Tramel of Lady Americana Elected ISPA's Vice Chair

The International Sleep Products Association's Board of Trustees recently elected Kerry Tramel of Lady Americana Associates to the position of Vice Chair. Kerry Tramel is President of Lady Americana Associates, Inc. and Vice Chair of the International Sleep Products Association. As ISPA Vice Chair, he will help to guide the Association as part of its Executive Committee and will take on responsibilities as Chair when his term expires in March 2007. A bedding industry leader for many years, Tramel served ISPA in several important capacities prior to his current position as Vice Chair. He was a Trustee on the ISPA Board, member of the Finance Committee, and active participant on the Better Sleep Council, where he spearheaded a research project with the Oklahoma State University on behalf of the BSC. Tramel has been President of Lady Americana, which is headquartered in Oklahoma City, Okla. and has 17 factories worldwide, for three years. Prior to Lady Americana, he was a Merchandise Manager at Mathis Brothers Furniture for 9 years. His insights from both the mattress manufacturing and retail perspectives will be helpful in his leadership role at ISPA. Tramel studied English at the University of Oklahoma and is an avid golfer and football fan. Established in 1915, International Sleep Products Association is the trade organization for mattress manufacturers and their suppliers around the world. ISPA hosts the biennial ISPA EXPO trade shows and publishes BEDtimes and Sleep Savvy magazines.
