USA BABY, a leading specialty retailer of infant and children’s furniture and accessories, has recently brought onboard Tom Kozubowski as Director of Retail Advertising and Senior Manager of Special Projects. He will support the 70-plus stores throughout the U.S. and Mexico. Prior to this position, Mr. Kozubowski was the Assistant Asset Manager for Walsh Construction, handling purchasing and licensing/titling for $246-million of fleet equipment and vehicles. Before that, he was Senior Store Manager at The Baby’s Room in Orland Hills, Illinois, where he was employed for 17 years.
Mr. Kozubowski anticipates continuing the current trend of growth in USA BABY by the ongoing implementation of effective programs that increase revenues by increasing franchise owner’s sales and profitability. Regarding his new position, Mr. Kozubowski says, “This is a very excellent opportunity, and I’m excited to be a part of it. It feels like coming back home to be with the people that I’ve worked with for many years, and it’s great to be a part of that team again.”
During the years from 1987 to 2004, Mr. Kozubowski’s expertise was honed at The Baby’s Room, USA BABY’s original store locations throughout Chicagoland. He began as a Warehouse Associate, and was advanced to become the Assistant Store Manager. Soon, he was promoted again as a Store Manager, and again as the Central Warehouse Manager, and finally as a Senior Store Manager at the Orland Hills site.
Mr. Kozubowski’s plans include developing successful advertising strategies and implementation of franchisee programs and individual store support. Regarding his new position, Tom says, “Currently, we’re going to be rolling out a new finance system through the GE Credit Card program, which will provide a more streamlined method for franchisees to offer financing to their customers and draw in an even larger customer base that will find it easier to shop at USA BABY.”
The future of USA BABY, according to Mr. Kozubowski, is positive and uninhibited, given the right training and development opportunities for the franchisees. His adage is: “Hard work and perseverance always puts you in the best position to be successful.” Looking back at his past successes, Mr. Kozubowski believes USA BABY’s future is unrestrained.
The addition of Mr. Kozubowski to USA BABY represents one more positive step America’s number one retailer, specializing in infant and children’s furniture and accessories, is taking to ensure the success of their franchisees.
