New Executive Director Named for Unfinished Furniture Association

The Unfinished Furniture Association announced Heather Petet as the association’s new Executive Director. Petet has been with UFA for nearly three years so is no stranger to the association or unfinished furniture industry. In her prior capacity, Petet served as Assistant Executive Director where she played an active role in the successful launch and growth of UFA’s certification program, Real Wood Furniture Finished Your Way®. As Executive Director, Petet is responsible for the overall operation of UFA, including budgeting, financial management, membership recruitment and retention, conventions and trade shows, publicity and new program development. She will work closely with the board of directors and entire UFA staff to ensure the association is operating effectively and efficiently. Prior to working for the association, Petet started her career with a five year enlistment in the US Air Force where she earned acknowledgments such as Airman of the Quarter and Airman of the Year. “We are grateful to have Heather serve the association in this capacity and are confident that she will be an asset to the industry,” commented Jack Campbell, UFA President. “Her professional and personal credentials are a testament to her ability to serve as the new UFA Executive Director.” UFA is an international trade association of more than 650 retailers, manufacturers and sales representatives in the United Sates, Canada and Bahamas whose mission is to actively support the growth of the unfinished furniture industry and association membership through education and awareness.
