SF Mart Opens Buyer Lounge

As a result of feedback that the San Francisco Mart received from an e-mail survey this spring, retail buyers will have a designated lounge area during Summer Market, July 16-19. "Buyers indicated that they wanted a place away from the crowds to review orders, plan itineraries or just to unwind," says Roseann Carini, SF Mart general manager. "We’re thrilled to be able to give them a space of their own.” The lounge will be located in space 209. Buyers will be able to make themselves at home and help themselves to light refreshments provided by the Mart. The Mart will stock the kitchenette with water, soft drinks, cookies, ice cream and other snacks. The lounge will be furnished with sofas, tables and chairs, and will be open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. July 16, 17 & 18, and from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on July 19. The Mart is also adding more complimentary snack stations throughout the building, making it convenient for buyers to catch a bite when and where they can. The Mart is continuing to host a free continental breakfast daily in the Temps on 2 exhibit area. Additionally, all attendees are welcome to use the free Internet lounge, located in space 423 of Mart 1.
