Buyers at the San Francisco Mart’s Summer Market 2004, held July 16-19, will discover five new tenants and 18 expansions & relocations. “Our largest expansions with regard to square footage are coming from some the most well-respected names in the industry – Broyhill, Klaussner and Universal,” remarks Roseann Carini, the Mart's general manager. Broyhill, which is expanding by 15 percent, is introducing to the San Francisco market attendees three new whole home collections - Tropical Retreat, Villa Marche and Urban Cottage. “To properly display these exciting collections, we needed additional space and were able to obtain the showroom area directly across from the current Broyhill showroom.” says Tom Lentz, Broyhill’s vice president of marketing services. “In this new showroom we will feature the innovative Urban Cottage collection with its contemporary twist on cottage styling. We believe our San Francisco market attendees will find all three whole home collections extremely appealing.” Klaussner, which is adding 1,580 square feet, plans to show five bedroom collections in the showroom expansion. According to Klaussner of California’s President Tony Ocampo, the bedrooms are part of the company’s new in-stock program shipped out of its California warehouse, which recently underwent a 50,000 square foot addition to accommodate this new program. Universal Furniture, which opened a showroom on the third floor of the Mart in July 2003, is expanding by 29 percent – opening a second showroom on the Mart’s fourth floor.
