Moosehead Mfg. Co., announced that it will no longer publish suggested retail price lists. Russ Page, Sales & Marketing Manager, noted that this decision was driven by enactment of recent laws and the handing down of court decisions against the use of suggested retail pricing as a basis for advertised discounts. "Setting the legal issues aside," said Page, "we in the furniture industry are losing the trust and the confidence of the consumer. This flies in the face of our efforts to regain lost shares of disposable income. Everyone talks about wanting to change things, but ultimately the resolution lies with each individual manufacturer, each individual retailer."
