IHFC and Colonial Homes will sponsor Annette Stramesi for a Designer Seminar during the Fall market. Stramesi, author of two books -- Creative Home Decorating and What You Should Know About Carpet, and editor of Colonial Homes will give you insights based on her own extensive publishing experience. Additionally, her editor experiences offer designers a behind-the-scenes look at the sourcing and selection process that goes into choosing a home for publication. Guidelines for submitting work will be provided, as well as "insider" tips on improving your chances for editorial selection. Interest in design and architecture began for Stramesi with an art history major at Barnard College and continued with her interior design studies at the New York School of Interior Design. In addition to author and editor, she also contributed travel articles to the Sunday New York Times travel section. The seminar "Classic American Design & How to Get It Published" will be held Thursday, October 16, 1997, noon, IHFC Green Wing, 11th Floor, International Ballroom B. Tickets are $10.00 (includes box lunch) and advance reservations are recommended. For reservations, mail check to IHFC, Attn: Gaye McCraw, P. O. Box 828, High Point, NC 27261. Tickets will be held at the door and must be picked up by 12:15 p.m. on the day of the symposium. Call 910.888.3754 or e-mail gmccraw@ihfc.com for more information.
