GERS Celebrates Record-Breaking 1997

GERS Retail Systems announced sweeping increases for all of its business units for fourth quarter of fiscal 1997, making it a record-breaking year for this leading supplier of enterprise-wide retail systems. Continuing a drive to increase written sales, GERS reported tangible gains with total sales up by 37 percent over last years' numbers. Overall GERS brought in an amazing 70 retail clients throughout the year. "This has been our best year ever," reported GERS Vice President Dennis Conforto. "Our year end numbers and new client list are a true indication of our success in automating retail operations on a national and international level." Each of the GERS business units posted gains from the previous year: The Home Furnishing's Sequel Lite division showed the largest improvement with a 68 percent increase in year-to-date totals. Home Furnishings saw a 58 percent increase over the 1996 year-end numbers. The Consumer Electronics/Wireless division offered a 29 percent increase over the previous year. Professional Services saw a year to date increase of 13 percent. General Retail saw a 28 percent increase over 1996.   "Our success in 1997 is a solid affirmation of our sales, marketing and technology strategies.
