As part of a mission to provide the highest level of design service and selection, Israels Designs For Living is restructuring their downtown store. The restructuring will include interior improvements, new interior design staff and the addition of new high-profile furniture lines.
"Our mission is to provide the highest level of design possible. Our downtown store is similar to a tool box filled with the tools necessary for creating spectacular interior designs. We're just adding even greater tools." Said Bob Israels, President.
Israels' downtown store is also in the process of interior remodeling. This includes an entire new lobby, a new floor plan allowing more room for display vignettes, and new window displays on the first floor. Second floor will include a new interior design resource room complete with fabric samples, furniture reference catalogs and a client meeting area, all designed to better serve interior design customers. Furthermore, remodeling will include repainting each floor.
"Interior changes are dramatic, however, the colors are subtle and natural in keeping with today's design trends." Said Toni Gjeltema, Marketing Director. "The first floor will be almost entirely new, structural changes, lighting and paint colors, right down to the floor. All new window displays and more vignette settings will give the store the upbeat, up-to-date elegance that the customer needs to feel inspired."
To enhance Israels furniture selection new high-profile furniture lines will be added in 1998.
"We will be aggressively researching new furniture and accessory lines throughout 1998." Said Mr. Israels. "High quality timeless design and alluring fabrics and finishes are the criteria for all new furnishings. We will provide the finest quality and value possible, no matter what the price category."
New interior designers have recently been and will continue to be added to the existing design staff.
"We're adding new faces with years of successful interior design background, to round out the customers' decorating experience. Our clients can feel confident that no matter what the project is, blueprints or a drawing on a napkin, Israels has the expertise and resources to accomplish it for them." Said Mr. Israels.
Finally, at Israels' downtown store, weekday evenings and Saturday will be open by appointment only for busy individuals who can't make the regular store hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. These personal appointments will offer customers one-on-one attention at the convenience of their schedule.
Israels Designs For Living has three locations throughout Grand Rapids. These locations include the downtown store located across from the Grand Plaza on Pearl Street, the 28th Street store located on 28th and Breton and Israels Other Store, which is a furniture warehouse store, located on Grandville Avenue near Wealthy.
