Top 100 Retailer Chooses STORIS. McMahan's Furniture to run 150 user system

STORIS Management Systems, a supplier of turnkey and business systems for furniture, appliance, and electronics retailers announced the signing of Top 100 retailer McMahan's Furniture, a Los Angeles based 20 store retail furniture chain. The-,, chose STORIS after conducting an in-depth analysis of the top software companies in North -America with the assistance of Deloitte & Touche. "After reviewing many software systems we selected STORIS because of its speed and flexibility as well as the fact that their system very closely mirrors our Current business process which will therefore make conversion quite easy. In addition, from day one of the sales process STORIS employees treated us like long-term customers the,,, were very responsive to all of our questions and needs. We felt like there was more to this company than a software product, there were people behind the product that truly cared about helping us improve our business" said Taylor Ganz, Vice President of McMahan's. In addition to STORIS' base system. McMahan's purchased many of STORIS' add-on modules to help improve their business' operating efficiency. They have chosen to implement STORIS' Radio Frequency Bar Coding in all three of their warehouses and Hand-Held Bar Coding in their 20 retail store locations. They also purchased A/R Revolving and Collections. STORIS' new Credit Application Interface which is on-line with all three major Credit Bureaus: Equifax, TransUnion, and Experion, EIS Merchandising and Financials, Credit Card Authorization Interface, and EDI Processing with three major manufacturers. They will be running the STORIS software on an IBM RISC System/6000 Model F40 dual processor integrated with a PC ethernet network in all locations via frame relax,. STORIS and McMahan's plan to have all 20 locations and three warehouses live by January, 1999.
