Relax-R-Corp Sponsors Soap Box Derby Car

The Relax-R Corp sponsored a car in the 13th annual Soap Box Derby of Vermont on June 10, 2001 in South Burlington, VT. Car #432 driven by Bill Sweeney (a son of a Relax-R employee) won 2nd place in the derby. Billy received a trophy, a bike, and a scooter! The Soap Box Derby is a youth racing program that has run nationally since 1934 and locally since 1989. Each June boys and girls ages 9 through 16 compete in the cars they assemble. The goals of the Soap Box Derby are to teach yougsters some of the basic skills of workmanship, the spirit of competition, and the perseverance to continue once a project has begun.
