La-Z-Boy Recognizes Top Performing In-Store Gallery® Operations

La-Z-Boy recently recognized the ten top-performing La-Z-Boy In-Store Gallery® retailers throughout the country. The awards were presented Thursday, October 14 in Greensboro, N.C., during the International Home Furnishings Market at a dinner hosted by La-Z-Boy for its entire network of in-store gallery dealers. The La-Z-Boy in-store gallery network includes more than 300 stores nationwide. One single-store operation from each of La-Z-Boy's five regions and the top five multiple-store operations were honored for outstanding performance based on revenue generated during the 1998-99 fiscal year. The single-store operations recognized include Seaside Furniture in Toms River, N.J., owned by Jack Steigerwald; Good's Furniture in Kewanee, Ill., owned by Phil Good; Benfatti Furniture in Pueblo, Colo., owned by Jim Benfatti; Kane Furniture in Ormond Beach, Fla., owned by Barry Kalin; and Trend House Furniture in Monroe, La., owned by Bob Foss. Top-performing multiple-store operations include Slumberland, Inc. in Little Canada Minn., owned by Ken Larson; R.C. Willey Home Furnishings in Salt Lake City, Utah, owned by Bill Childs; Conlin's Furniture in Bismarck, N.D., owned by Ed Conlin; Grand Home Furnishings in Roanoke, Va., owned by George Cartledge; and Wolf Furniture in Bellwood, Pa., owned by John Wolf. "This is our way of saying thank you to some very important dealers," said Kurt Darrow, vice president of sales for La-Z-Boy. "Our in-store gallery dealers are crucial to our distribution and overall success. We truly value the partnerships we've formed and the business we've been able to generate through these outstanding retail relationships."
