New EasyChair Software Version 6.0 Runs on Linux

EasyChair Software recently introduced its newest software, version 6.0, the first furniture retailing software available on Linux, which was named the "Operating System Product of the Year" for the fourth year running by InfoWorld magazine. "Linux offers more stability, power, speed, security and connectivity than any other operating system," says Paul Hooverson, EasyChair chief software architect. New features to EasyChair Software 6.0 include P.O.S. Express, designed to speed up the point-of-sale process for quick, cash-and-carry sales; Delivery Calendar/Scheduler, which allows the store-wide delivery schedule to be seen at the point of sale so an accurate delivery time can be given to the customer; and an expanded, full-featured service and repair module. EasyChair's popular retailing software package offers a comprehensive management tool for furniture retailers with up to 99 stores. It simplifies the retrieval, reporting and management of all business data including furniture and accessories, floor coverings, appliances, mailing lists, point-of-sale invoices, special orders, lay-aways, deliveries, management reports and more - all fully integrated with accounting to provide up-to-the-minute control of everything in furniture retailing.
