FEDCO. Inc. has selected American Placement Company of Norwalk, CA for delivery of furniture and major appliances to its member customers in the greater Los Angeles and San Diego areas. The move, one of an ongoing series of improvements implemented by FEDCO'S new management, was necessitated by a surge in furniture and appliance sales. "Furniture sales were tip significantly in 1997, and the momentum has continued this year, with sales up 31% in February and March. " said David Lamons, president of FEDCO'S furniture division. "We have achieved these gains for several reasons., but foremost among them is that we now stock a greater variety of merchandise from the leaders in all furniture categories. and with a better in-stock position."
