Located in the heart of the furniture city, Exclaim's spacious new office at 1208 Eastchester Drive in High Point is officially open for business. The California based technology company selected Johne Albanese, a former Bassett executive, to head its High Point office and to develop trade in the Home Furnishings and Decorative Accessories Industries. The software developer aims to "bridge the technology and communication gap between manufacturers and retailers" by providing the technology tools that allow existing business-to-business transactions to operate more efficiently and profitably. Staffed by seasoned industry insiders, the Exclaim team offers a complete package of e-business solutions to their customers. Exclaim's online 'Marketplace' product addresses the needs of business-to-business and business-to-consumer transactions. 'Strorefront', a web-based retail operating system was designed for lower volume retailers and store chains. All of their products enable customers to check inventories and place orders by logging on to the Exclaim website and are supported by "24/7" customer service access. John Blair was named Director of Business Development in charge of Furniture. Christina Calabria is the Manager of Business Development, responsible for the Home Décor segment and related businesses. Sandy Boul is responsible for Systems Training and Sophia Hooper will manage the High Point headquarters office.
