MFA Announces The 2002 Award Winners

The Metropolitan Furnishings Association is announced its 2002 Award Winners. The Furniture Manufacturer of the Year Award will be presented to John Bassett, President and CEO of Vaughan Bassett Furniture for his dedication to maintaining the production of home furnishings in the United States. The Howard Liveright Memorial Award for outstanding contributions to the home furnishings industry goes to Frank OíConnor, retired. The national DEAN of IHFRA award for contribution to independent representativesí objectives goes to Tom Leflein. James DeLisa, MSO Furniture in Wayne, NJ will receive the Paul E. Gallagher Retailer of the Year Award for professional and ethical conduct between Representative and Retailer. Harold Greenberg, representing Clayton Marcus Furniture will receive the E. Louis Billington Salesman of the Year Award for distinguished service to the industry. As chosen by the membership of the MFA, Rich Fusco, representing Lane/Action Furniture will receive the Best Young Representative Award and Kenneth S. Luthy, Suburban Furntiure in Succasunna will receive the Best Young Retailer Award. The Metropolitan Furnishings Association, represents members of the furniture industry in the New Jersey metropolitan area, including retailers, factory representatives, manufacturers, transport and delivery companies, and support personnel. This year will mark its 60th Anniversary as the voice of the industry in New Jersey.
