Durham Furniture and George Washington’s Mount Vernon announced the renewal of their licensing agreement for bedroom furniture, occasional tables and unique accent pieces. Mount Vernon and Durham’s relationship began in 2005 with the introduction of the George Washington Architect Collection, which remains one of the best selling groups. Durham’s two new Mount Vernon additions will be available at the upcoming Toronto show and April High Point Market.

“We are extremely proud of our relationship with Mount Vernon; it has been a great partnership for both of us,” said Gord Dilworth, CEO/ President of Durham Furniture.  “As you will see at the upcoming Toronto show and again at the April Highpoint Market we plan on being very aggressive in Mount Vernon  inspired products. Although some of the new introductions will be different product than our dealers have  seen before,  we are confident the dealers that have supported the Mount Vernon program will be  extremely pleased.”

“When I first walked into the Durham showroom, I felt that if George Washington was alive, he would have purchased Durham Furniture for his home,” said Director of Licensing, Beverly Addington.  “Through this turbulent financial time we remain dedicated to developing authentic product selections which send a portion of the profits to Mount Vernon.”

Mount Vernon has helpful historic resources that have aided Durham in developing unique products Dave Pinamonti, Vice President of Business Development for Durham also said “What is great about working with Mount Vernon is the fabulous resources they have in developing some great products. We can develop both traditional looks and casual or relaxed traditional designs using great historical references.
