South Shore Furniture, already a maker of bedroom, living room and office furniture, announced that it is adding cribs to its product line-up.

Striving to provide solutions that meet the needs of parents-to-be, their product development team worked on a crib that can be turned into a transition bed when the child grows up. South Shore’s offering already includes changing tables and drawer chests; the addition of cribs in three popular finishes (White, Cherry and Espresso) rounds out the existing collections, since it isn’t always easy to match furniture seamlessly when you have to buy an item from one company.

“Our changing tables and drawer chests were already selling well thanks to the baby-boom in recent years, but we expect better results with a more comprehensive offering,” says Director of Marketing Sophie Drouin. “It just makes life easier for parents-to-be shopping for furniture for their future baby,” she adds. The White crib matches the Savannah and Heavenly collections, while the Espresso one also matches two collections: Savannah and Angel. The Cherry crib, meanwhile, matches Heavenly furniture.

Throughout this project, matching styles and colors were a priority, noted the company, but so was safety. That’s why the new cribs have undergone a battery of tests and meet all the following standards: ASTM F 1821-11a; ASTM F 1169-10a; 16CFR1217; 16CFR1219; CPSIA 2008. All wood and MDF components meet the industry’s standards.

South Shore Furniture will introduct the new products in Toronto from January 13 to 17 and to the in Las Vegas from January 30 to February 3, and will use these events to officially launch the new cribs.
