Globe Express Services® (Overseas Group), one of the world’s 85 largest global logistics providers, announced the addition of three new corporate locations: Miami, FL (USA); Guangzhou, China; and Suzhou, China. These openings mark the first step in an integrated plan to expand the company’s corporate office network from 42 to 50 by the end of 2011, in order to have the right people in the right places to support its ambitious future growth. By adhering to a simple formula – “people + network + technology”, the company says, GES delivers customized logistics solutions to a diverse global client base doing business in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, the Americas and around the world.

Located in a 110,000 square foot, multifunctional site, GES Miami will serve as a key gateway facility for Latin American trade. Tony Bikhazi, President – The Americas, commented: “In our plans for continuous expansion, GES is adding another strategic location to its Americas footprint to meet the current needs of the global shipping community. By setting up shop in Miami, we provide that direct service link between Latin America, the Caribbean and the rest of the countries we already serve.”

Richard Palma, Vice President Sales & Development (Florida, Latin America & the Caribbean), added that, “GES Miami offers a wide variety of multimodal, project-type and value-added logistics services, including inventory management and distribution, all within a scalable, multi-functional, bonded facility with close proximity to all local air and sea ports. This will allow us to strengthen our focus on the Latin American region, especially in key markets such as Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Panama and Peru.”

Globe Express, a top 20 NVOCC in the Transpacific trade, is also expanding its China platform with new offices in Guangzhou and Suzhou, bringing its total number of in-country corporate locations to 10. Georges Mejaes, President of Asia Pacific & Indian Subcontinent, commented: “In line with the company's global expansion strategy, we have added a Guangzhou office to strengthen our network in southern China, and a Suzhou office to further develop our coverage in various industries, such as high-tech, automotive, textiles, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. We are also providing logistics services for key chemical companies, and working to build our dangerous goods distribution network in China. This is an exciting time of growth for our company, and China is of significant strategic importance to us.”
