Hollandia and Therapedic introduce iLight Bed

Luxury sleep systems designer Hollandia International announced that it is offering a whole new way to experience color through the power of light.  The company has teamed with global mattress brand Therapedic to announce a new concept in bedding with their colorful iLight Bed, which can change the overall look of the bed and ambiance of the bedroom with the touch of a button.

Debuting at the upcoming Las Vegas Market this January 24 to 28, the iLight is designed to elevate the total bedroom experience with the introduction of several unprecedented high-tech features.  These include a first-of-its-kind, color changing LED light system built into the headboard, along with docking stations for iPads, iPhones and iPods, surround sound speakers and Hollandia’s state-of-the-art Platinum-Luxe™ adjustable mattress system.

“Our research showed that color and light, when used in the right way, can have a powerful impact on the way consumers feel in their homes, whether the goal is to relax, feel productive or to entertain,” said Hollandia CEO Avi Barssessat. “The bedroom is no exception, and in fact presented us with a perfect opportunity to bring to market an unprecedented offering with the iLight.  The design delivers the best in technology and comfort materials available in the market today, but goes the extra step with enormously fun color and light features – a first for the bedding industry.”

Most unique is the bed’s headboard, an upholstered curved design which is available in 3,000 fashionable colors and fabrics.  An LED light-changing system built into the top of the headboard casts a soft hue of light into the room.  With the touch of a button, the light can change among green, red, blue or white, each one evoking its own ambiance ranging from calming, invigorating, well-being or purifying, respectively.

“Hollandia has built its business on the philosophy, ‘Let’s Stay in Bed,’ and really knows how to bring the fun factor into the bedroom.  This latest design is the perfect example,” said Therapedic President and CEO Gerry Borreggine.

Among its other high-tech features are a 250-watt amplifier, two premium Morel speakers, two docking stations for iPhone or iPod and two adjustable arms coming from the sides of the headboard each accommodate an iPad.

The mattress offers pampering massage features and is fully adjustable.  From Hollandia’s Platinum-Luxe™ line, the mattress is made with Vita Talalay Latex and the company’s highly-breathable 3D fabric. The Platinum-Luxe™ base, which can be used with any Hollandia bed frame, features the most advanced technology in adjustable mattress foundations.  These include a Total Safety System that stops the bed’s movement for safety purposes, Pneumatic Remote Control, Back Sliding system, a Flexible Shoulder Zone and Telescopic head support.

Prices for the iLight bed start at $18,000 in queen with the Platinum-Luxe™adjustable base and Platinum-Luxe™ 3D mattress.

The new Hollandia Collection for Therapedic will be presented in the Therapedic and Hollandia showroom in space B-822 at the Las Vegas Furniture Market.
