Foreign Accents, a leader in contemporary rug design, is sponsoring a seminar during High Point Market to help retailers effectively select and display contemporary home furnishings and accessories.
“Displaying Contemporary From The Floor Up” will feature HGTV celebrity designer Michael Payne speaking on key components that create visually stunning and effective contemporary displays. The seminar will be held Tuesday, October 19 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in Foreign Accents’ IHFC showroom – H-513.

Michael Payne recently returned from an in-store appearance at Decorum Furniture, a contemporary retailer with showrooms in Norfolk and Virginia Beach, VA. “Decorum’s showroom displays were absolutely stunning,” said Michael. “Consumers entering the store cannot help but notice the striking vignettes, which beautifully display product and encourage consumers to buy.” In his presentation, Michael will share how retailers can create a “Wow” effect in their showrooms, the “do’s” and “don’t’s” in displaying contemporary products, and how to integrate contemporary with transitional or traditional elements. Retailers are encouraged to bring pictures of their showrooms and/or contemporary product they will be displaying for Michael to review and make display recommendations. A hand-out will be provided for all attendees, and food & beverages will be served.
