High Point native, Candie Gibson Lemaire’s coffee table memoir, “Furnitureland-Glimpses of Sentiment”, about her hometown of  High Point, NC, is now available through PUBLISHAMERICA at http://bit.ly/dfwCgq.  art history, part travel, and part reflection of High Point, past and present, this book is an entertaining look at one of America’s cherished  furniture manufacturing hamlets.

“Everyone has a little bit of High Point… all you have to do is just look around”…says Candie.

“Furnitureland- Glimpses of Sentiment” is a casual read, but adequately points out High Point’s rich textile and commerce industry was an early pioneer of “good business”; as well as how the City continues to be a great draw for new ventures (entertainment/education). This coffee table/gift book memoir also has within the text appealing photos of  High Point’s history, and some new achievements for the future.

Candie’s book proudly talks tradition and values,  as if one was sitting on a neighbor’s  front porch.

Candie and her husband Rick reside in Newport News, VA.  She has written overtwenty-five music releases (patriotic- Americana), children’s poems and music, as well as scripts for commercial projects and feature film.
