Parallel to the ICFF, ABC Carpet & Home annouced that it will feature a series of events targeted toward the design community, but open to the public at large. These include an exclusive preview of new designs to be unveiled at the ICFF by revolutionary British designer Tom Dixon; a special launch event of The Conran Shop at ABC Home; artist talks by fresh local designers in partnership with VOOS Brooklyn moderated by Eames Demetrios; designer Piero Lissoni on classic Italian glass design; and an installation of The Egg by Tal R.
All events will take place at ABC Carpet & Home, 888 Broadway at 19th St, NYC.

May 13-19: John Reeves Reveals the Sketch Collection
Award-winning British designer John Reeves showcases his new furniture range – lucid, free and spontaneous – based on designs loosely drawn directly onto the software that ultimately cuts the material. Reeves took inspiration from the late Alexander McQueen for the confidence to "just get it done, with flair and validity - why not?"
May 14: Launch of The Conran Shop at ABC Carpet & Home
The Conran Shop launches its anchor U.S. destination in an 8,500 sq ft shop on the lower level at ABC Carpet & Home. Conran’s unique, passionate and fresh design approach has been revolutionary. Conran continues to stay vital, curating state-of-the-art design with a commitment to creativity and eco-philosophy, and a recognition that the solution to a healthy planet starts at home.
May 16, 6-8pm: Good Design: A Panel on Local, Sustainable and Passionate Design with Eames Demetrios
Filmmaker, artist and author Eames Demetrios hosts a conversation with visionary Brooklyn based designers drawing on the legendary design concept of modern design as an agent of social change pioneered by his grandparent Charles and Ray Eames. ABC Carpet & Home champions local artisans and their work as part of a commitment to sustainability and healthy local economies.
May 17, 6-8pm: Piero Lissoni Glasitalia
Designer Piero Lissoni hosts the launch of Studio Lissoni’s installation of innovative, experimental, unmistakably striking designs in the purest of materials- glass. Since the start of his career in 1978, the designer and architect has produced major works for every room in the house for some of the most influential brands in the design world, as well as homes, showrooms, and hotels in cities around the globe.
May 17, 5-7pm: Deepak Chopra on Design, Beauty & Commerce; Serving as a Tool for Social Evolution
Visionary philosopher and author Dr. Deepak Chopra speaks on the connection between aesthetic and commercial societal values and the human ability to embrace and instill change. With special guest Donna Karan, Urban Zen. Presented with T: The New York Times Style Magazine.
