High Point's IHFC building announced that for twelve years, from 1993 through 2005, Fremarc Designs maintained a showroom in the IHFC's Design Center. After a five year stay at 200 Steele Street, the company returns to IHFC for spring Market and, surprisingly enough, will occupy the very same showroom it held for the first dozen years, space D1121.

The California-based manufacturer of hand-crafted seating, occasional tables, dining and bedroom furniture cited the economy for its return to IHFC; as well as the opportunity to exhibit among complementary brands. "We have good relationships with our neighbors there in the Design Center," said Michael Donenfeld, head of sales and marketing and son of the company's founder, Maurice Donenfeld.

Now 40 years old, Fremarc continues as a family-owned business renowned for the timeless design of its products and the broad range of available hand-applied finishes. "We have a very good story to tell and one that dealers and consumers appreciate," Michael said. "All of our products are domestically manufactured and we offer customized options. For Market, dealers will see that we are moving toward modern classic designs featuring the Veranda Collection."

Opening in 1921, IHFC was the original showroom building in High Point and after 89 years of expansion remains the centerpiece of the world’s largest home-furnishings trade show that attracts more than 80,000 participants twice a year to 2,000 showrooms covering 11.5 million square feet. IHFC alone is home to 500 of the leading home-furnishings manufacturers, including 13 of the top 20 companies, and covers 3.5 million square feet.
