JLA Home, a Fremont, California, based manufacturer and globally integrated home fashions company, announced recently it would consolidate its High Point Market presence in a new showroom at the IHFC. Formerly showing at Center Point, JLA Home will occupy 10,000 square feet in the IHFC’s Green Wing, space G382.

Known widely for its fashion bedding, JLA Home designs and manufactures a wide range of home fashion products including blankets, window coverings, accessories, furniture, rugs and licensed youth bedding. The move to the IHFC, according to JLA Home's Rusty Ortiz, presents an opportunity to showcase JLA Home's lifestyle collections as they were meant to be seen.

"The thing that makes JLA Home distinct from other manufacturers," Ortiz said, "is that we take a concept and build it out across the entire collection. Everything works together — bedding, rugs, accessories, and furniture. We make it very simple for the retailers and for consumers with well-designed solutions that are totally unique to the industry. Our new showroom at the IHFC allows us to present these concepts in a dynamic way, which is very exciting for our customers."

For Fall, Ortiz said the company will introduce two new lifestyle collections: Harbor House, a casual design brand, and Tao. "Imagine a more balanced lifestyle collection," he explained. “Tao is contemporary in look; clean lines, balanced and harmonious. It is an innovative and totally unique collection."

Beyond the new lifestyle collections, Ortiz said that JLA Home has expanded its popular accent chair line and its Hampton Hill bedding collections for Fall and that customers will be very pleased with the results.

Opening in 1921, IHFC was the original showroom building in High Point and after 88 years of expansion remains the centerpiece of the world’s largest home-furnishings trade show that attracts more than 80,000 participants twice a year to 2,000 showrooms covering 11.5 million square feet. IHFC alone is home to 500 of the leading home-furnishings manufacturers, including 13 of the top 20 companies, and covers 3.5 million square feet.
