World Market Center Las Vegas announced the launch of a new show, INSPIREDESIGNTM, an exclusive event that will focus on the latest interior and architectural design solutions for the hospitality, senior living and healthcare marketplace. The event will be held at World Market Center Las Vegas, February 1-3, 2010.
“This dynamic show launch seeks to fulfill a validated need in the design and hospitality marketplace to showcase exemplary design, provide compelling top-level educational programming and create a community environment that will literally span 365 days of the year,” said Philip McKay, Senior Vice President of World Market Center Las Vegas. “Our goal for this new event is to offer a platform of convergence across all decision makers in the design and hospitality process. In bringing these creative minds together, we hope to ignite imagination, accelerate business and inspire design.”
INSPIREDESIGNTM is poised to set a new standard for showcasing design in North America and will bring together designers, purchasers, owners, and suppliers for major hospitality and healthcare projects. The show will be held in the sculptural exhibition pavilions located on the expansive 57 acre World Market Center campus, which includes more than 5million square feet of elegant showroom space, state-of-the-art conference rooms and luxurious and spacious common areas with easy access to the many world class Las Vegas resorts.
The inaugural show will be co-located with February’s Las Vegas Market which will be held concurrently in Buildings A, B and C, on the World Market Center campus. The two shows will benefit from shared transportation services, highly negotiated hotel accommodations and will offer the growing number of designers who attend Las Vegas access to new resources and inspiration on both sides of the design aisle.
The new event is also expected to open up new business opportunities and channels of distribution for existing permanent tenants at World Market Center, of which 63 percent already cater to or have expressed interest in selling into the hospitality marketplace.
“World Market Center’s business platform is multi-faceted and delivers multiple opportunities to connect with new buyers and expand channels of distribution,” added McKay. “Our complex is far more than a trade show, more than a market center and more than a traditional design center. This event is an exciting new development that dovetails with our growing designer base while adding tremendous value to those companies that want to explore crossover marketing opportunities.”
The Event Director for INSPIREDESIGNTM is Gerry Seibel, who since 2007 has served as Director of Leasing for Las Vegas Design Center at World Market Center Las Vegas. Throughout a twenty-plus year career, Mr. Seibel has been affiliated with some of the leading gift and design centers in the country, including the L.A. Mart, a division of Merchandise Mart Properties Inc., and The Merchandise Mart in Chicago. His extensive design experience includes a role as executive director for the Interior Design Studios in all Carson Pirie Scott stores.
