Symbol Powers Up Retailers With ‘Take Back Your Traffic’

Symbol Mattress recently announced that it will empower retailers to drive store traffic when the bedding producer reveals its new Take Back Your Traffic campaign at the Las Vegas Market, Jan. 27-31.
 
“There’s not a single retailer who wouldn’t want an actionable strategy that will significantly increase traffic,” said Symbol president Mike McQuiston. “Take Back Your Traffic is designed to recapture traffic lost to online retail pressure and other market conditions.”
 
Building on the momentum from Symbol’s Get More campaign launched last summer, the new campaign expands strategy and product by going deeper in its core line-up at the entry level price points as well as a luxury introduction.
 
For the price point of $599 and below, Symbol has a plan to drive significant store traffic with minimal changes to the retail floor and to grow five-star online consumer reviews to compete directly with the direct-to-retail brands that currently dominate in reviews.
 
To develop the Take Back Your Traffic campaign, the Symbol team conducted in-store experiments with selected retailers to collect real-life observations and data which they used with other market research and insights. Symbol will reveal details of the experiment during market in their showroom at World Market Center, C-1529.
 
In the luxury category, the introduction of the Centerpiece Collection represents the “crown jewel” of Symbol’s luxury line, said the company.
 
“The Centerpiece Collection has a totally different look and construction and is best described as mattress furniture because it is more than just a mattress,” said Mark Jannke, vice president of product development. “It truly makes the sleep system the focal point of the bedroom. You have to see it to appreciate that it is both furniture and sleep equipment in one.”
 
Centerpiece is loaded with features and benefits: adjustable-friendly; full perimeter coil system with over 3,000 coil-count; contour-edge construction that molds to individual sleeper for pressure relief; and options available with the foundation. It is also packable to ship by UPS.
