Bradington-Young to Celebrate 40th Anniversary at High Point Market with Giveaway

Furniture World News Desk on 10/13/2018

In celebration of its 40th anniversary, luxury leather upholstery producer Bradington-Young announced that it is hosting a sweepstakes for its dealers and interior design partners for a chance to win one of its limited-edition anniversary recliners during this month’s High Point Market. The anniversary chair, a reclining version of a successful stationary club chair introduced in April, will be covered in ruby-red leather, symbolic of a traditional 40th anniversary gift.

“Our customers have made it possible for our company to thrive for 40 years, and this giveaway is an excellent way for us to thank them for all their support,” said Craig Young, president of Bradington-Young. “It’s also a terrific way to generate excitement for our product line, which continues to set the bar for luxury leather upholstery.”

The anniversary recliner, which is named Jetson, features sleek arms, a low-profile seat and tall wood legs commonly found on fashionable stationary upholstery. “It’s a great example of our recent style direction for motion furniture,” Young said. “We’re showing that motion upholstery can be as fashionable as stationary upholstery.”

The recliner, which is covered in a premium leather provided by supplier Moore & Giles, will be spotlighted at the entrance to the Bradington-Young showroom in space C-1058 in the International Home Furnishings Center. Contest entrants are invited to drop their business cards at the showroom for a chance to win. The winning name will be drawn at the close of the market. The winner does not have to be present at the drawing.

Bradington-Young began operations 40 years ago in a shuttered textile plant in Cherryville, North Carolina, where it still operates its cut-and-sew cover plant. The company’s main production facility and corporate headquarters are now in Hickory, North Carolina. Bradington-Young recently announced a 75,000-square-foot expansion of its Hickory factory, which will boost production capacity by about 50 percent and increase the size of the plant to 160,000 square feet.
