Furniture World News Desk on 4/14/2018

Najarian Furniture recently announced that their new Mosaic Home brand will debut at High Point Market this month.

Mosaic Home will debut a collection of mix-and-match pieces drawing inspiration classic forms and given a modern update with pieces encompassing dining, bedroom, occasional, and accents.

According to Executive Vice-President of Operations, Michael Lawrence, Mosaic Home is a response to consumers seeking a more eclectic and curated feel for their home.

“We’ve seen the curated movement have tremendous growth over the last few years and it’s not going away,” notes Lawrence. “Through Mosaic Home, we’re presenting retail partners a collection of items that can work together, mixed-and-matched in a limitless number of combinations that will appeal to their customer’s lifestyles and tastes. With Mosaic Home, we’re getting personal.”

The curated look is among the hottest home trends in America. Decorative arts and design history expert, Lynn Byrne, of Decor Arts Now, recently stated the 'curated look' as being the biggest design trend. According to the award winning blogger, it is a liberating trend; the only rule is that you collect and display what you love.

Mosaic Home’s three hundred and twenty-four sku collection will be broken down into three categories: Belgium Luxe, which includes mid-century as well as reclaimed industrial looks, and Modern Glam and Classic Contemporary. All pieces have been designed with smaller, more urban-scaled proportions in an eclectic and adaptable way.

Construction characteristics include:

  • Premier Valspar finishes
  • Case pieces feature fully finished backs enabling shoppers to be more flexible in their spaces and float pieces.
  • Five-piece drawer construction
  • Custom hardware
  • USB ports on nightstands and desks

Stand-out pieces include:

  • The white encased 3 door Josie Credenza features a striking door motif framing gray figured sycamore, with a shaped, coved custom nickel hardware which adds the perfect amount of jewel and dimension. The inset, rounded tapered legs with nickel ferrules adds balance and refinement to the Josie Credenza.

  • The Brixton Dresser’s black painted case surrounds contrasting grey acacia drawers, illustrating the hard angles of the contemporary design with an appreciation of natural elements. Finished with Antique bronze capped legs and rustic recessed pulls, this dresser is both grand and understated at the same time.

  • Flaunting a bent metal frame, the Drais Console boasts an organic feel and interesting view from every angle. Coupled with a planked walnut top, this console is guaranteed to impress, adding a bit of rustic luxury to any space.

  • Basque Bar Accented with brass geometric metal inlay, and hardware, and perched atop an architectural brass base, a black lacquer finish defines this bar’s modern silhouette. Upon opening two ornate doors to find an abundance of storage for stemware, a multitude of shelving, and two drawers featuring flush hardware.

Items will be stocked both in Vietnam and offered as a quick-ship mixed-container program, as well as at the company’s California based distribution center, making the logistics of buying the line easy for independent dealers.

The Mosaic Home collection will premiere at Najarian Furniture’s new showroom located at 113 West Green Drive during the April High Point Market.
