All-Star Lineup of Guest Speakers for WithIt Annual Conference in May

Furniture World News Desk on 4/6/2021

Women who attend this year’s WithIt annual conference will be learning from an all-star lineup of guest speakers including Marilyn Sherman, Tamra Chandler, and Dr. Shirley Davis. The conference will be held virtually on May 6th - 7th.  Membership is not required to attend. For more information go to: www.withit.org.

The event will be action packed. In addition to the phenomenal guest speakers, there will be a panel discussion with some of the industry’s top professionals moderated by Tammy Nagem, from High Point Market Authority, roundtable discussions on industry topics, speed networking and a virtual cocktail party to wrap it up.

Conference co-chair, Sydney Harris, from Furnitureland South, explains, “Leveraging Leadership is about moving forward with strength. It’s about using your leadership skills to maximum advantage to help others. This conference will teach women how to do that by covering topics such as change management, company culture, and being resilient.”

The conference’s keynote speaker, Marilyn Sherman, is a member of the National Speaker Association’s Hall of Fame and is the author of four motivational books. She is dedicated to training people to let go of obstacles and live and work with courage, commitment, and confidence. Her presentations and books have been described as life changing. Sherman’s keynote speech, “Front Row Leadership: How Top Performers Never Settle for Balcony Seats,” will set the stage for an empowering conference.

Tamra Chandler is a nationally recognized thought-leader, author, and speaker known for developing new and effective ways for people and their organizations to perform at their peak. Chandler’s topic, “Taking Back Feedback,” will teach attendees how to take the sting out of feedback and reclaim it as a motivating, empowering experience. Everyone who registers for the conference will receive a copy of Chandler’s book, Feedback (and Other Dirty Words): Why We Fear It, How to Fix It.

“Making Your Seat at the Table Count,” is the focus of Dr. Shirley Davis’ conversation. Davis is an accomplished corporate executive, global workforce management expert, a certified leadership coach, and a master of reinvention. Davis is the president of SDS Global Enterprises, a full-service consulting firm specializing in solutions and strategies for achieving leadership excellence and in building high performing and inclusive workplace cultures where all talent can thrive.

“WithIt’s conference offers industry professionals at all stages of their careers the opportunity to connect with industry peers, grow both personally and professionally and develop leadership skills,” states Amy Van Dorp, Executive Director of WithIt. “This year’s Leveraging Leadership conference aims to help the leaders of today and inspire the leaders of tomorrow. Our annual conferences are continually rated #1 by our attendees over other conferences they attend.”
