AICO Bestows Annual Honors

Jose Esquivias was awarded Employee of the Year.
Importer AICO/Amini Innovations Corp’s annual awards were presented on December 24th in recognition of exceptional service throughout 2020. The Employee of the Year award was presented to Jose Esquivias. Jose has been with AICO for 6 years, starting out in the warehouse department, and through his exemplary efforts, advancing to the position he currently holds as Soft Home Communications Coordinator. Jose reports to Jackie Moss, VP of Soft Home. Moss stated, “Jose has been a tremendous asset to the Soft Home division. He has a real passion for the company, and for growing the Soft Home division which shows in his determination, professionalism and can-do attitude. “The essence of this award is in the acronym AICO, which stands for the core values of the company: Attitude, Initiative, Commitment, and Outstanding performance. “Jose not only embodies these values but is impressively humble and highly dependable,” added AICO Chairman and CEO, Michael Amini.
The Spirit of Excellence was awarded to Maria Perez. Maria as been with AICO for 14 years in Customer Service, and has been a vital team member in the recently expanded E-commerce division. “Maria works diligently to assist our customers, and always with a genuinely positive and upbeat attitude that makes her a pleasure to work with, not only for her customers, but for her co-workers as well” offered EVP, Chuck Reilly, “Maria’s knowledge, ability to multi-task and courteous care of our customers define her Spirit of Excellence.”
The award for Rising Star went to Ruben Ramirez, one of AICO’s leading Forklift Operators. Although not a new employee, Ruben’s leadership has grown in the 16 years he has been with AICO. Stated Mike Orth, AICO VP of Operations,“Ruben has a quiet ambition that shines through his work ethic. He has become a yardstick by which others are measured, and can be counted on without fail as a team player and the go-to guy for getting things done accurately and efficiently.”
“These awards were well deserved, and as a company, we are very proud to have Jose, Maria and Ruben representing AICO. I am honored to have such committed and loyal individuals on our team,” added Michael Amini.
