Corsicana Promotes 3 to Sales Management Roles

Mattress manufacturer Corsicana Mattress announced that it has promoted three veteran sales executives to support the company’s continued domestic growth.

Dan Thigpen, Davis Whitworth and Tom Fiorello have been promoted to senior sales directors, each overseeing a region of the country or a segment of the business, and continuing to report to  Eric Jent, executive vice president of sales.

“As we continue to post significant sales growth across the U.S., it’s key that we have senior management in place to support it,” Jent said. “Dan, Davis and Tom have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and have done a tremendous job building cross-functional communication and teamwork within the Corsicana organization. I am confident this team will deliver strong growth within their regions and expand our brand’s reach farther than before.”

As senior sales director for South Central and Western U.S., Thigpen is now responsible for 26 states,  Prior to joining Corsicana in 2018, Thigpen held executive positions with leading bedding brands like King Koil, Southerland and Kingsdown.

In his new position as senior sales director for business development, Whitworth will manage Corsicana’s relationships with retail buying groups, including Nationwide Marketing Group, as well as develop strategic partnerships with top 100 retailers and national accounts. Prior to joining Corsicana in 2018, Whitworth held key posts for Sealy Mattress and Serta Simmons during his 30-year career.

Fiorello is the senior sales director for the Eastern region, managing activities in 24 states. Fiorello joined the company in 2019 as Northeast regional sales director. Prior to his work at Corsicana, Fiorello worked at Stanley Black & Decker where he held several regional sales posts.
