Decorating Den Interiors Celebrate 50 years

Decorating Den Interiors, which is celebrating 50 years of franchising the interior design business, announced that it is bringing nearly 100 design professionals to this fall’s High Point Home Furnishings Market.

“We have been bringing our design professionals to showrooms and for factory tours for more than 20 years,” says David Haseley, sr. vice president of merchandising.  “In recent years, we have brought our largest groups and have had our most ambitious schedules of showroom visits. We may be the largest designer buying group that visits Market.”

“We have organized tours through showrooms of suppliers that participate in our LIVV Home Collection™,” he explained. “Due to the number of suppliers that now participate in our program, it not possible to see them all so we now have to rotate from Market to Market. Our designers appreciate the personal extra attention they get and the product knowledge they gain. They also enjoy the camaraderie of being together with their peers. ”

Special evening events have been scheduled at Taylor King and Woodbridge Monday, and Tuesday respectively.

Upon returning from the market the merchandising team will put together a ‘Highlights of the Market’ presentation to share with those that were not able to make it to High Point and to use as marketing seminars in their home areas.

While many of its franchise owners come with previous design experience or from other positions in the home furnishings industry, some also come from other careers.
