BEDGEAR Unveils New Reflection and Memorial Garden at Rock Hill Facility in Honor of World Peace

Furniture World News Desk on 10/23/2018

BEDGEAR, the global PERFORMANCE lifestyle brand, recently announced the unveiling of their new Reflection and Memorial Rock Garden to commemorate World Peace and honor those who have fallen or been adversely affected after the devastations of both Hurricane Florence and Michael. The company decided to build the garden to create a place for employees to reflect on those affected by the Hurricanes as well as hate crimes and other recent tragedies. The garden was created as a safe haven on site for people to go to relieve stress and reflect on positive acts of kindness.

As the construction plans for the Garden started to come together, BEDGEAR’s employees decided they wanted to give back in honor of the people that had fallen or had homes destroyed and build the garden on their own.  Led by a team of Rock Hill employees, they moved quickly and took the construction into their own hands.

“We are blown away by the energy and dedication our team in Rock Hill took in creating this Reflection and Memorial Garden. Technology has greatly heightened our lives by giving us extensive reach across the world right at our fingertips, but we’re also exposed to more noise and it’s not always the most positive news so having a meaningful place to go is a necessity,” said Eugene Alletto, CEO and Founder of BEDGEAR. “In wake of this, and recent tragedies both around the world and close to home, it has never been more important for people to have a place where they can stop and reflect to release stress and remember to be positive and kind to those around you.”

Originally the unveiling was scheduled to be leading into World Peace Day back at the end of September, but Hurricane Florence and Michael put a temporary hold on the build of the garden.

“I’m so proud of our team for putting their heart and soul into this garden,” said Tabitha Bramblett, Generalist of BEDGEAR’s Human Capital & Culture Department. “I hope that we are inspiring other companies to create a safe place where employees can take time out of their day to stop and reflect.”
