E.S. Kluft Names Drew Pechy to Manage California Flagship Factory

E.S. Kluft & Company, which produces luxury mattresses under the Kluft and Aireloom brand names, recently reported that it has named veteran operations executive Drew Pechy as the manager of its recently expanded flagship factory here. Pechy, who holds certifications in Six Sigma and ISO 9001 quality control, brings a wide range of experience in operations, purchasing, safety regulations and quality control to the position.

He reports to Luciano Saldana, vice president of operations.

“Drew’s expertise in operational efficiency and quality control will be especially valuable since those will be areas of intense focus in our expanded facility. He has held a number of challenging leadership roles that included implementation of Six Sigma principles and ISO 9001 practices,” Saldana said. “Drew has an impressive skill set from a broad array of assignments he has held throughout his career and this brings a fresh perspective to our operations team,”

“This is a tremendous opportunity for me to play a role in bringing more innovation into a newly-expanded factory at a company that focuses on the luxury end of market, where quality is paramount,” Pechy said.
Most recently, Pechy was plant manager for SPX Corporation: Recold, a Brea, California-based producer of high-quality commercial evaporative cooling products, since 2013. He earlier spent two years as distribution manager and plant manager at International E-Z Up, a Norco, California, manufacturer and distributor of custom shelters and accessories, and for eight years was general manager of Exact Global Manufacturing, an Ontario, California-based manufacturer of point-of-purchase displays, store fixtures and promotional goods.

He also held posts with Sam Pievac Company, a producer of custom and standard store fixtures and point-of-purchase displays, as well as Associated Concrete, a supplier of industrial tanks and diamond-plated traffic covers.

A resident of Diamond Bar, California, Pechy holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Colorado State University. He is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and holds ISO 9001/2008 and 2105 certifications.

Earlier this year, Kluft added 35,000 square feet to its factory to accommodate increased demand for its products. The facility now totals 162,000 square feet.
