Barbour Spangle Design recently announced the addition of two new employees, Jordan Neises, designer, and Hope Tucker, design assistant, to the staff. With the addition of these two young professionals, the firm now includes 14 full-time and part-time employees, making it one of the largest interior design practices in the region.

Neises graduated in 2015 with a BFA degree in interior design from the University of Louisville. After college, she worked for a small healthcare interior design firm in Louisville. More recently, before joining Barbour Spangle Design, she worked as an interior designer for an architecture firm in Cincinnati.

A native of northern Kentucky who now lives in Winston-Salem, Neises will collaborate with the entire design team while focusing primarily on showroom and commercial projects. Her areas of specialty include the planning and management of projects through all phases of development, including concept, documentation, project management, and installation.

Neises says that the work culture at Barbour Spangle Design is what most appealed to her.

“I was especially intrigued by the focus on teamwork and collaboration,” she says. “I’m a big believer that collaboration is the key to a successful design. I love the quote by Helen Keller: ‘Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.’”

Tucker comes to the High Point-based design firm following an internship at KaTo Architecture in Richmond. A native of Jamestown, she is a 2017 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in interior architecture. She moved to High Point about two months ago.

At Barbour Spangle Design, Tucker will serve as a collaborator and assistant to the designers for all of the ongoing projects. She’ll work in every category of the firm’s applications. She will also maintain the firm’s extensive materials library.

On what drew her to the company, Tucker says, “The firm has a belief that work can be fun, fulfilling, and empowering without sacrificing things like self-care, family, or enjoying life!”

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome these two women to our staff,” Barbour says. “In whatever we do, whether it’s expanding our firm or revamping our website, we want to offer the very best to our clients and keep moving forward with a fresh approach to design.”
