Malouf Launching Industry Focused Campaign to Recognize the Signs of Child Sex Trafficking at Las Vegas Market

Following a successful fundraising event at Las Vegas Market in January, Malouf is hosting the summer market Forging Freedom event. The event begins with a report back on how the money was used from the winter event and and then leads into an industry focused campaign to train people to recognize the signs of child sex trafficking. The event happens from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, July 29 in Suite C1212 at World Market Center.
Malouf is inviting all partners, colleagues and Las Vegas Market attendees to take just 60 minutes before dinner appointments to join the company in fighting human trafficking with the launch of a new training campaign that teaches everyone to learn the signs of child sex trafficking and take steps to break the cycle.
“Every single person in the industry has the power to make a huge impact in ending child sex trafficking,” said CEO Sam Malouf. “We’re on a mission to make everyone aware of the signs of exploitation and trafficking – from owners to sales associates to delivery drivers – and what steps to take when they see them. If we all take the effort to notice these things when we travel, when we’re delivering products to homes, and even in our own neighborhoods, we can end human trafficking.”
The January event raised more than $120,000 to help children trapped in commercial sexual exploitation. This July, Malouf is excited to report back to industry partners how those donations were used to bring hope, freedom and justice.
The one-hour event will discuss progress since January. Attendees will hear briefings from Malouf Foundation partner Operation Underground Railroad and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force reporting on successful rescue operations in Cambodia and right here in the United States that were funded from the last Las Vegas Market event.
