Bradington-Young to Launch Customizable Luxury Upholstery Program

Furniture World News Desk on 3/15/2019

Luxury upholstery producer Bradington-Young announced that it is set to launch a customizable upholstery program covering multiple product categories at the April High Point Market. Called Luxe for Living, the program offers more than 60 stationary and motion seating silhouettes in a variety of customization options.

While many customizable upholstery programs are typically limited to either stationary or motion products, Luxe for Living cuts across all categories, offering a wider selection of customizable upholstery.

“This is a game-changer,” said Cheryl Sigmon, director of merchandising at Bradington-Young. “A consumer could, for example, purchase a sleeper, a motion sofa, a stationary loveseat and a recliner all from the same program, which simplifies the purchasing process and helps take the guesswork out of selecting styles that work well together.”

Sigmon said that Bradington-Young dealers will also benefit from the program. “Many of the different product options can be displayed in a very small retail footprint, helping our retail partners maximize ROI with the collection,” she continued. “In a small amount of showroom space, a retailer can offer over 60 SKUs, including pieces that allow stationary and motion seats to be configured as a sectional.”

Marrying function with customizable style, the program includes sofas, loveseats and sectionals in a choice of stationary or motion, along with coordinating recliners, ottomans and a queen sofa sleeper. Each is available in a choice of three arm styles, two leg styles, multiple finish options, optional nail head trim, welt or double-needle stitching options and choice of over 300 covers including any fabric, leather or fabric/leather combination.

The Luxe for Living lineup is headlined by an innovative sofa sleeper with a ‘next gen’ power mechanism  –  a first in the company’s product line. Operated with a Bluetooth-enabled remote, the seat cushions of the sofa double as the foot of the mattress, which eliminates the need to store the cushions before the sleeper unit is opened.

Luxe for Living will be on display in the Bradington-Young showroom, space C-1058 of the International Home Furnishings Center. The market takes place April 6-10.
