Brought to national market first-ever multi-function and uniquely positioned patio furniture.
(Small cap company in the design, manufacturing and distribution of branded, wooden patio furniture and accessories in the better and best category. Competitors include Frontgate and CNN Stores).

Key responsibilities included R&D, website and catalog creation and marketing, sourcing manufacturing, merchandising, newspaper publicity, developing patent strategies, competitor analysis, and major other milestones.

 Preserved our website’s brand and SEO advertising investments by solving complex navigational issues preparing for a major website upgrade. Problems arose due to limitations of earlier design.
 Obtained a 10X ROI on Internet advertising by off-shoring half our advertising . Executed email marketing programs increasing customer value with sales of accessories.

 Patented first-ever multi-function patio storage line and brought 5 new storage SKU’s to market within 3 years – together responsible for 30% of sales. Applied our proprietary storage design to an unprecedented outdoor kitchens line (not yet commercialized) to capitalize on this $300M market. Increased sales 25% by adding a second price point category (real teak) for our original furniture designs which were made in cedar (see Wayback Machine 2006).

 Built for investors a plan and supporting models for multi-year sales projections and cash flows showing opportunities in big box and specialty store channels.

 Put Brookbend on the map with feature placements in the New York Times and Washington Post yielding $25,000 in sales.

 With a US price tag of $35,000, achieved a professional website alternatively for $13,000 by combining local and international help. Responsible for functional specs, interface, navigation, graphic design, SEO integration, and subsequent web analytics.
