EXPERTISE IN WOOD►

 I have a strong working experience with many hard and soft woods, good understanding of american wood grading system in FAS F1F, #1 Common, #2a common, #2b common, #3a Common, and #3b common; I am very knowledgeable with regards to teak, american alder, aspen, baswood, hackberry, elm, pecan, sassafras, sycamore, tupliwood, willows, rosewood, ash, birch, cedar, cherry, mahogany, oak, zebrawood, walnut, maple pine, fir, elm, poplar and redwood.
 I understand the differences between hardwood and softwood species including why different properties of wood species from different location or countries react differently due to their surrounding environment.
 How and why logs are kept wet for days before being cut into veneers first then cut into different sizes, different cutting methods according to grain direction, kiln-dry using different methods depending on what the mills have and dried to different moisture degree depending on the species, how veneers are being joined together, the way it should be joined according to grain direction.
 How MDF and plywood is being made and glued together and what is a good MDF and plywood.
 I have been trained in the wood finishes of oil, wax, polyurethane, shellac, lacquer, lamination, veneer, varnish, water-based and top coated and the drying process time for different finish needed.
 I also understand wood construction like using different wood joints; including butt, rabbeted, tongue and groove, mortise and tendon, doweled and dovetailed joints.
