Hooker Furniture Corporation (NASDAQ:HOFT)recently announced that it has promoted Jeremy Hoff to president of two of its business units, Hooker Casegoods and Hooker Upholstery, a new position.

In August 2017, Hoff joined HFC to serve in the new position of President of Hooker Upholstery. The business unit has a core product line of imported leather upholstery, and has expanded recently into barstools and domestically-produced “Nest Theory” upholstered beds.

In his expanded role, he also will serve as the top executive for Hooker Casegoods, the largest Hooker business unit, offering bedroom, dining room and occasional residential furnishings.

“Jeremy has proven to be an outstanding executive in the short time he has been with us, and I’m especially impressed by how well he relates to everyone throughout the organization,” said Paul B. Toms Jr., chairman and chief executive officer. “The relationships he has developed with retail customers and suppliers during the course of his industry career are also outstanding. I’m confident Jeremy will be as successful leading Hooker Casegoods as he has been with Hooker Upholstery,” Toms said. Hoff will report to Toms.

Prior to joining Hooker last year, Hoff most recently served as President of Theodore Alexander Furniture since 2015, and prior to that was Senior Vice President of Sales at A.R.T. Furniture Inc., where he pioneered the upholstery category for the company.

“We have an amazing team at Hooker Furniture, and I am both thrilled and humbled with the opportunity to lead Casegoods and Upholstery for this iconic brand,” Hoff said.

Steve Lush, who previously served as president of Hooker Casegoods, has left the company.

In addition to his management roles at Theodore Alexander and A.R.T, Hoff also served as a regional sales manager for Broyhill and a manufacturers’ representative for Universal, Craftmaster, Pulaski and King Hickory, and began his furniture career as an assistant sales manager for Louis Shanks Furniture in Houston.
