Sam Moore reports that it will unveil a new showroom concept at the upcoming October High Point Market, October 14th – 18. For the first time in the company’s history, the eight-room presentation will not only share a story, but provide retailers with merchandising themes to better display its product.

Utilizing popular trends in today’s marketplace such as global chic fabrics, colors, textures and finishes, the updated concept, located in space C1058 in the IHFC building, uses lifestyle designed displays – or a Retail Oasis – to create a unique and impactful experience for buyers.

“We are excited to share this new and on-trend approach with our retail partners, said Frank Richardson, president of Sam Moore. “From the walls to the ceiling, each display has been carefully curated to create an oasis that best showcases our wide variety of styles while providing merchandising suggestions for our retail sales partners. By using the trends and color schemes from our new products, each of the new vignettes has personality and character, providing our sales representatives and our retail sales partners with a compelling story to tell.

The reconfigured showroom is divided into eight sub-spaces with different themes. Highlights include the Global Trekker area which has a bohemian feel and features sectionals from the customizable Simply Me line. Exposed wood beams, a rustic brick wall and antique wooden panels lend a vintage mill vibe to the Belgian Yarn space, which highlights the company’s new Belgian yarn textiles. Featuring heavy yarns that evoke a nostalgic feel of hand-woven textiles, the Heavy Textures vignette features layers of eclectic materials including distressed tin and reclaimed wood. Anchored by vintage Turkish rugs and cowhides, the Rustic Modern area will include aluminum accents and will also highlight Sam Moore’s unique finish options which will be featured on the framing throughout the room. With over 25 swivel and recliner options, the area dedicated to Performance in Motion showcases the customizable and colorful performance fabrics for which the company is known.

More about Sam Moore Furniture: Sam Moore Furniture is a leader in crafting quality, custom upholstery. In 1940, a young Sam Moore and four of his friends bought the Delaware Chair Company in Delaware, Ohio. A tough economy and a looming war forced Sam to relocate. The company moved south to Christiansburg, Virginia in 1943 and to its current home in Bedford, Virginia in 1960. Through the years, the company expanded to a 300,000 square foot facility that is a balanced blend of state-of-the-art technology and hand craftsmanship. In 2007, Sam Moore was acquired by Martinsville, Virginia-based Hooker Furniture, one of the world's largest and most respected furniture companies, founded over 90 years ago in 1924.
